Week 2 || Something Beautiful

So excited to tell you all about THURSDAY!!! The best thing happened to me- I FOUND my "real" running shoes. They were in the trunk of my car. They are the ultimate running shoe and I was feeling the pain by running in my gym shoes. Years back when I was running- like YEARS.. I went to a running store and they fitted me for shoes and I ran on the treadmill so they could see how I run. Come to find out my feet pronate when I run. Meaning that when I run I put most of the weight on the inside of my feet. My wonderful shoes help PREVENT this. They are Brooks and I highly recommend this shoe. They are specifically made for a runner who pronates their feet. They also have shoes for runners who supinate or just run with no issues! It was a blessing to find these and I'll tell you why. My 3 mile number changed drastically after I put these puppies on.

First off- I finally ran WITHOUT stopping. Praise the Lord! I also FINALLY ventured out of my apartment complex and ran around my neighborhood. It was so nice to have a change of scenery. Between the shoes, scenery, weather, and my music I was set.

So happy that I'm finally seeing a difference. This is 5 min 36 seconds faster than my best time (during training) which was only 2 days ago! I'm telling you- its these shoes!!! I love running and getting done and having such a clear mind. Me and my husband's song came on in the very last stretch. Perfect.

This weekend is my step up to 4 miles. I was "scheduled" to run it Saturday but I have decided to rest and run my 4 on Sunday. I'm realizing it is more than okay to listen to your body and go with what feels best. Take care of yourself first before forcing anything else. Take time to enjoy something beautiful this weekend. 💜
