Hey all! Hope everyone is having a FABULOUS week! Week 2 is flying. The weather has been spectacular here in AZ. I wish it would stay this way forever. This is a failed hope. So-enjoy it while you can! This day was relaxing. I had the day off! I took my doggies to the dog park, cleaned, and dogs even went to the groomer. (they look adorbs)

I want to say the running is getting easier but I'm not so sure I can say that yet. It's very difficult to come home after a busy day at work and want to run. Why would anyone do that? Either they are crazy... OR.. just determined and challenge ready. I believe I fall under the 2nd statement.
Day 9 I ran in our apartment gym. Remember how I told you there is NEVER anyone in there. I lied, not intentionally but I lied. Everyone.. everyone.. literally everyone from my complex was working out. What was exhilarating about this was it made me more motivated! Treadmills full and weights being curled- it was superb. It's great to see every day ordinary people working towards a fitness goal.
To put it out there right away: I did NOT feel like I was running the best. I'm extremely thankful my training program has me steadily sticking at 3 miles. (Until this Saturday...) However, my results were better than expected.

Mile 1:
Speed: 5/5.5 mph
Time: 12:06

Mile 2:
Speed: walk/run
Time: 12:11

Mile 3:
Speed: walk/run
Time: 17:19 (ugh...)

Total Time: 41.36

Surprisingly this is my BEST TIME yet. I'll be happy with it. Even though I really want to be faster already and not have to stop. I have to remind myself it is all about the journey- no rush. So far my favorite thing from running is the satisfaction you get that you DID IT (and the amazingly wonderful spectacular cold shower you get to take afterwords- pure bliss). After I got done I showered up and the groomer was already calling me to pick up my lil munchkins. My heart melted when I saw how CUTE she cut them.

Meet Remington
Overall a very successful day. I hope to anyone out there reading this: May you be challenged this week in your fitness goals and in ANY aspect of your life. Don't ever let anything stand in your way.
