{United as One}
Though one may be overpowered, Two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken.
Ecclesiastes 4:12
To my loving husband,
What a beautiful weekend God has blessed us with. I thank God everyday for you. You are the leader of our family. Your relationship with Christ is inspiring and beautiful. It's so easy to love and trust you because you put God at the forefront of your life and our marriage. We have a life with Christ that not even an army can come in between. We've been married almost a year. Still growing, learning, and we continually ask God for guidance in everything we do. I thank Jesus for bringing me to this point in my life, but I am also so GRATEFUL for you always building me up. You encourage and support me in any desire the Lord lays on my heart. Our marriage is not always easy. We are two different people, from different places, trying to come together as ONE. We know the power of Christ's love and God's grace. We stride to always love each other as Christ loves us. Marriage is not a battle to be won. Although sometimes I may act as if it is. I believe our marriage is based on compromise, JESUS, and loads of unconditional love! Thank you for joining me in this journey we call life. Nothing feels impossible since I am now inner twined with my loving Father and the love of my life.
I love you both with my entire heart.

My husband and I attended a marriage conference Friday night and Saturday morning at our church. It was pretty wonderful. Dr. Kevin Leman put on the conference. His insight, wisdom, and educational background is one big package of guidance. I forgot to mention this package is wrapped with a big bow of HUMOR! He is absolutely hilarious. The focus was sex, love, and dating. Let me tell you, he did NOT miss a step. If you haven't seen him speak or read one of his books, you should.
On top of the hysterical sense of humor, laughter, and tears of complete joy this weekend I was led to some truth's of marriage I wanted to share.
Wives, submit yourselves to your own husbands as you do to the Lord.
For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior.
Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything.
Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
to make her holy, cleansing her by the washing with water through the word,
and to present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless.
In this same way, husbands ought to love their wives as their own bodies. He who loves his wife loves himself.
After all, no one ever hated their own body, but they feed and care for their body, just as Christ does the church—
for we are members of his body.
“For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and the two will become one flesh.”
This is a profound mystery—but I am talking about Christ and the church.
However, each one of you also must love his wife as he loves himself, and the wife must respect her husband.
Ephesians 5:22-33
Wives and husbands... be the definition of love!
Although we have not been married long, my husband and I know from our own personal experiences and the obstacles we have encountered thus far as husband and wife, that JESUS can conquer, cure, and RENEW all!
I made a promise to God to forever honor my husband and with the help of the Lord I live out this promise everyday. United as one with Christ our marriage will not be broken. AMEN!

Corinthians 13:4-7
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.
To anyone who is single and reading this: Wait for the man who loves Jesus and put's God first. Be patient. God knows his plan for you.
To anyone married: We all have battles. It's not against your wife or your husband. It's against the enemy. Stand strong with Christ in the center and don't let down your guard. The enemy strikes at moments of weakness. When seeking God's heart you will remain strong in him. The most powerful shield my husband and I have established is praying together. Try it! You will have victory in your marriage.
Blessings!
dedicated to my loving husband, Justin
