2 Corinthians 9:8
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that always having all sufficiency in everything, you may have an abundance for every good deed;
What an amazing week! On Thursday we were given the "green light" to purchase our plane tickets. This means Haiti mission is a Go! There were enough participants who were making those deposits to know how many would be participating for sure. At this point in time we did not have the money for our 50% deposit due on Oct. 1st..... but,
God prevailed.
In a matter of a few days our Haiti mission has been blessed with $1,438. It seems unreal that I was close to "panic mode" only last week. Worried we would not even be able to put half our deposit down.
Thank you Jesus!
This morning our neighborhood group came together and hosted a yard sale for our cause. I don't know much about putting together a yard sale, but about 30 bug bites later and some blushy pink skin. I can tell you it was a success! When you have so many Christ loving people coming together for God's work- it's BEAUTIFUL! My husband and I are so grateful they hosted this for Haiti. The Holy Spirit was in the air and oh so clearly present! God has held true to his word throughout the process thus far and I have faith He will continue to lead us to victory in Haiti. My motto today was "Sweat for Jesus".. it was hot! Under that heat was laughter, loving conversation, beautiful people, and our loving Father surrounding us with his warm touch. The treats and breakfast were a win as well! We enjoyed this morning so much! My husband- determined and Haiti heavy on his heart, recommended we take the remaining sale items and put on another sale next weekend! So that's what we will do.
Have hope || Focus on God || Love your neighbor || Make a difference ||
With only 3 months until Haiti, we will start to get all of our shots this month, eeks! If I could skip this part I would, but unfortunately it's necessary. We did get some more details about our trip on what we may possibly experience. We will be lead by a pastor in Merger named John Lorient. The organization has been working with him since the earthquake in 2010. Our activities will include:
Sports Ministry
Street Ministry
Visit Orphanage
Service Projects
Door to Door
Evangelize to the sick
Host a church service
A lot of the ministry is hanging out, playing games, and LOVING the children.
I absolutely cannot wait to love these children.
What an overwhelming and full of joy week we have had with Jesus. We were also blessed with the opportunity this week to go on a weekend mission to Rocky Point, Mexico in November. Only a little over a month away and we will be building homes. We hope this short mission will help prepare our hearts and strengthen us spiritually for Haiti.
Today we Rejoice with The Lord as He makes all things possible.
Thank you to all of YOU for making this amazing adventure with God a reality. Here is a shot of us rejoicing afterwards, clothes and all!
Rejoiced & Refreshed
Celebrating our victory with God
Blessings!
