Believe

Mark11:24
"Therefore I say to you, all things for which you pray and ask, believe that you have received them, and it will be granted."

Today we paid are fee to hold our Haiti spot. Yay! It's becoming more real and so is all the time and effort we MUST put towards this trip for God to allow it. Tonight my husband and I folded many fundraising letters and had to lick each envelope because I thought saving our cents would be better than buying the pre-sticky ones. Hmmm... Is all I have to say about that. I started looking over all the documentations Adventures has sent us and deadlines for payments and that's when my good ol friend doubt came in. And then of course her bestie we know as fear.  My husband and I both had a look of "what are we doing" on our faces. We reminded each other that this is in God's hands not ours. I came across Mark 11 verse 24. To sum it up it says Believe. I told myself tonight to have faith. Trust him. Life can get overwhelming but being overwhelmed does nothing! This is funny because I am the master of "overwhelmed". But on the glass half full side of life I am taking in what I read and write and growing. I believe in this mission and God getting us there.

Anyway, tonight was very successful! Letters stamped and ready for the post office. We are trying very hard to brainstorm some fun fundraising ideas. We will take any suggestions! We have 4 months. Sounds like a long period of time but we all know those 4 months will FLY. So everybody, enjoy life! I feel I must leave the link to Adventures in Missions. That way if anyone is reading this they can check out all the amazing missions they have to offer. In the United States and international!

If anyone read my last post I have a really awesome act of LOVE that has come about. The little boy Ari that I wrote about from Compassion has been SPONSORED. I was so overcome with pure joy when I went to look at his profile and he was no longer available. Thank you Jesus! There are still so many more children out there who are looking for a sponsor. Simply praying for them is enough but going that extra is completely rewarding.

Blessings!

Ashley
